Detective Raymer arrives at the scene of the crime. He tells the audience that he was delivering a new vending machine when one of the men in the car fired a shot at him. He is grateful for the bullet and says that he and Cloyce have saved each other hundreds of times. He says that Cloyce has never been safe without him and that he is taking her home to deal with Raymer. When he arrives, he tells his mother that his brother has told him that he has made a "mess of abes plans." He asks her to call his mother. When she does not, he says, he will take her home and deal with him.
