About This Chapter
Book 2 opens with a soliloquy by Barbarella. He tells us that he's not worried about what's going on in the galaxy. He's booked a bunch of sexy acts for the galaxy, but he doesn't have any new ideas. Time has an idea, he says, but it hasn't been implemented yet. He wants to do something that's "unforgivable" . He says he'd like to explore the "weird worlds" of the galaxy with a telescope. He also says that the telescope is a "bloofer" because it observes time much more slowly than the rest of us do. He wonders if the ship is in trouble, and wonders what he should do since he has no soul. Finally, he asks if he'll be able to make love to Rosa. She's the first person that he has ever met on this planet, and he wants to know what she's thinking.
