In this chapter, we learn that the next semester, Yonada will be taking care of the flower garden, and that she's going to have to learn how to take care of it herself. She's not a fan of being a care-taker, and she doesn't like the idea of being cooped up in a hut for the rest of her life. She wants to go back to the school and be a teacher, but she can't bear the thought of having to be a caretaker. So she brings a secret weapon: a needle. It's a sharp knife, but it's also a sewing needle, so it can be used to stitch things back together.
