When the police arrive, Quinlan is confused and tells his boss that the attackers are bad guys. He asks to see his identification card, and Quinlan pretends that he is the dean of the police station. The police officer who answered the phone calls him back to the station, where he is given his identification cards. Quinlan apologizes for calling the police without prior notice, and says that he will take him to the hospital. He says that the two hours have passed, and that the bad guys have been arrested.
