About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that falling in love with someone is painful, and that the more you fall into a corner, the harder it is for you to fall for someone else. This is true, he says, but it's also true that you can't really be friends with someone who's in love. Girls are girls, and guys are guys. Girls hang out with guys all the time, and they're always attracted to each other. This makes it all the more difficult for girls to be friends. The narrator says that she's been friends with her sister since high school, but now that she has fallen in love, she can no longer be friends anymore. She's not attracted to anyone anymore, and she doesn't know how to deal with it. She feels like she has to stop loving her sister, even though she isn't inter ested. She tells her sister to go to a nap room and squeeze her hand. She says that if she gets tired, she'll go to the room where the other girls hang out. She also tells her to watch where her sister is touching her, and if she looks like she hasn't slept, she probably looks tired. If she can solve a problem just by worrying, then it'll probably not be a big deal. She asks if she'd ever fall in love if someone else fell for her. If it were her fault, she says, then she would have to stop liking the other girl. But if it was hers, it would be her own fault. She is so upset that she asks if there's anyone here to help her. She introduces herself as Dr. Kenmo Chi's, and says that her name is also a virgin.
