About This Chapter
Okay, so now that we know what's going on, we can go ahead to Ashikabe. Okay, okay, so we've got a map to show us where we're supposed to be. But what the heck are we supposed to do with a map? Uh-oh. Huh? What the heck is going on? Well, it turns out that the hedgehogs and the eels are on their way north along the road, and they're not talking to each other at all. The only thing that's keeping them from killing each other is the fact that they don't know how to play the game "shiritori" , which is basically a board game with dice. The game is a dice game where you have to hit a certain number of numbers to win. In other words, if you lose, you're out of the game. So, the only way to stop this is to kill the other person. Uh, yeah, that would be a pretty cool idea. But then again, he doesn't really like playing games. He's not into dice, and he's never played the board game . But he does like the idea of killing the other guy. He says that at age 4, he learned to play dice. At age 6, he played dice with his father, who was also a cheater. So yeah, he'd like to kill them all. They'll stay for the night, and then they'll go for a walk the next day.
