In this chapter, we learn that we're introduced to a new character named Mangmang. He's a member of the Union at Barnardo College, and he's also a friend of Lin's. Lin asks him if he'd like to go to a dinner party at the school with some of the college's most famous students. He says he'll go, but that classmate Caixia isn't going to be there, so they're going to have to ask other people to come along. Lin is psyched to hear this, because he knows that Caixia is from the same school as Senior, and they've both graduated from high school together. Lin tells him that they'll be having a big dinner party on Saturday night, and that he should meet with Caixia at 5pm. He tells Caixia that he was supposed to meet with him at 5.30pm, but didn't get there in time. They're all eating dinner, and everyone is waiting for him. He doesn't know who he is, so he can't figure out how to get to the dinner party. He asks if they made an appointment with him, and Caixia says they did, but he was delayed because of something. Lin says that everyone waited for him, they'd all started eating, and then everyone started eating first. He was waiting for everyone, and all of a sudden, he realized that this was the bastard who played him hard. He knows that this bastard is his brother without any blood relations, and the way he treats him makes him want to hit him in the head with a bowl, even if he dies.
