The scene opens with a description of how Lin-Shi's dressing gown is made. The narrator tells us that the dressing gown was specially made for her by the company to make her look presentable when she is needed on the set. She tells the audience that she has shown her boss her script and he seems to like it, so she is sure that the company's investors will not miss it. The scene ends with a soliloquy by the narrator in which he laments the fact that he has given up his life for the sake of her.
