In this chapter, we are introduced to the concept of the "nothingness" . The nothingness is a powerful force, but it also has a weakness: it is unable to resist the loyalty of the man who lies in front of it. This weakness is explained by the fact that the nothingness can't close the "channel of eternal time" , which is the channel through which the universe is divided into time and space. This means that the universe has been divided into two parts, and that the source of the universe, the "father", is the one who created the universe. The "mother", the chief priest, was killed by jealousy, and her soul was split into two, one soul devoted to the father and the other to the mother. After her death, the mother's soul was divided in half, and the father's was the one that created the world. This explains why the father is still angry with the mother, and why he still wants to kill her. The only thing that can help him is the "heavenly academy," the last thing he can do for the father.
