The two men argue about whether or not they should go back to China together. The younger man says that he wants to protect his brother, who is also his only relative. He tells the older man that he knows everything about his mother, but that he has never really understood what she means. He says that the price of his brother's freedom would be to lose his relative, and that he does not want to lose her. The men decide to return to the office, but the woman in charge of the office says that she cannot go because of her facial paralysis.
