The time has come for war, and the young men are ready to strike back. They must kill the enemy soldiers and avenge their parents and elders. The general orders the soldiers to destroy the provisions and report back to him. The young men eagerly await his orders. He tells them that he will lead them. He will destroy provisions of the enemy army and report to his general. The two men argue about whether they should be sent to the cook's quarters or not. He says that they are different, but that he is an outsider and they are an insider. He asks if they think everything they do is for the purpose of completing the mission. He then tells them to be more alert and to rest in the night.
