The next morning, Krook and his brother find out that their sister has been taken away by some other people. Krook tries to explain that he sent someone to check on the whereabouts of the missing woman, but his brother is adamant that it was not him who abducted her. He explains that he was afraid of an accident and wanted to protect her in the city. When Krook asks who this person is, he learns that it is Billund. The two men go to investigate, and Krook reveals that he loves Billund more than he thought. He says that the task is getting more and more dangerous, and that the guardian is a "bad personality" with a "unstable energy" and a "dangerous mood" . When the two men realize that they have succeeded in their mission, they accuse Krook of being nothing more than a "bait" and of putting himself in danger without permission.
