This chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which we learn that the Brotherhood has lost all of its power and is unable to communicate with the outside world. The flashback is followed by a description of the Brotherhood's reaction to the loss of his power. The Brotherhood explains that his power is related to the other Brotherhood members, and that he must return to the Brotherhood to regain his lost power.
