The scene opens with a hush in the street. It's been a while since we've heard from the narrator, and he's just about to run off to the corner store to buy some ice cream when he hears a knock on the door. He's not sure what's going on, but he knows that it's the guy who bit him the day before. He wants to know where the guy is, so he asks him where he was the night before. The guy tells him that he was just craving ice cream, and that's why he was so freaked out by the guy's behavior. The narrator doesn't know what to make of this, and tells the guy to "scare" him. He tells him to "plop smear pah" , which is a fancy way of saying "suck me" . The dude is all, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." The narrator tries to get him to stop, but the guy won't listen, and the two of them continue to argue. Finally, the narrator asks the guy what he'd do if he were in the middle of a sexual encounter with a woman. The man says, "choose me for your pair," and the narrator tells him not to worry, because the mirror is "too fragile" and there might be "glass in the wound."
