In this chapter, Eunha continues his investigation into the strange events that have taken place in his life. He tells his assistant, Senior, that he saw a woman jumping from the roof of the building where he works, and he is certain that it is the same woman who he saw earlier in the day at the hospital. He also tells Senior that he has seen purple smoke, which he believes to be the smoke of an alien being. He then tells Senior about the singer, Kate, who has just released a new song, "fake," which has set a new record on the Billboard charts. He explains that Kate's private life is also shrouded in mystery, and that she has never appeared on any of the popular entertainment shows that are popular in the U.S.
