Back at the palace, the two women try to get the prince to tell them the reason for his behavior. The prince is upset that baekah has lost her memories of him and cannot recognize him. He only left her the earrings that he gave her as a present. The two women pretend that some of her memories came back and go to the palace to find out more. They knock on the door and find a letter from the princess. The princess is waiting for them in the garden of the palace where they got engaged to each other many years ago. The girl is sorry that she lost the earrings, but she also wants to know why the prince wants to meet her. She tells the prince that she has been thinking about what she would do if she lost him. The scholars told her that if she kissed the prince, her memories would return, but the girl is worried that she would look like a jokester if she were to lose her first kiss. She decides to use magic to retrieve her memories.
