He thinks that only the prince and princess are able to use the magic of time, but he is a mage and cannot just do experiments without the permission of the emperor. He wonders why the police are guarding the building, and wonders if the book that was dropped back in time is still there in the tower. He is sorry that the princess lost her precious earring during the ball, and he will help her find it. He orders his men to search for the lost earring, and then he leaves the princess in the care of the mage
