The scene opens with a flashback to the first time the two of them got into an argument, and the narrator apologizes for his behavior. He admits that he was drunk, and that he mistook the other for someone else. He apologizes again for his earlier behavior, and says that he would not have acted the way he did if he had not been teased the day before. He asks the other if he is treating his fiancee well, and they both admit that they have been treating her badly. The narrator tells the other to go eat, but the other refuses, saying that they are even worse than before. The two argue, and then the narrator says that she will take the keys to the office and punish the other. The other refuses to leave, and she tells him that she is not afraid to hit him. She tells him to stop messing around at 2pm, and he agrees to go with her
