About This Chapter
When the Governess and her son-in-law arrive at the manor house, they are greeted by their father, who tells them that they are welcome to stay as long as they wish. The Governess tells her father that she has come to tell him that she is pregnant and that she will soon be his wife. She asks him to tell her the reason for his visit, and he tells her that he has come because he wants to see her. She tells him that he is her father's son and that he will be her husband. When she asks him why he has not told her of his pregnancy, he says that it is because she has not yet signed any papers. He then asks her why she has taken off her clothes, and she says that she did not want to wear them because she was pregnant. She then asks him who bullied her and who bullied him. He tells her he will help her resolve the matter, and when she asks why he did not tell her earlier, he replies that he had been shot several times in the head and chest. He asks her to tell his grandfather he will not be attending his grandfather's 70th birthday party
