The next morning, the Governess goes to the grocery store with her son to teach him how to shop. The Governess tells the boy that he has to show up at the store in 15 minutes because she's going to make him breakfast for the day. She tells him that he'll be his "best friend" from now on because he's so smart. He asks her to tell him which eggplant is fresher, and she tells him to pick the one that's the best. The boy is so excited that he wants to eat all the sweets in the store, but he can't bring himself to eat the sweets himself.
