They are both very excited to be back at school, and they tease one another about how long it has been since they last saw each other. Yeon Du is very excited about his return to Yondu, and he is very happy to see that he has returned to school. He is also very excited that he will be reunited with his classmates. The narrator then introduces the other students in the scene, who are also returning from China. The first two students discuss the recent events in the country, and the narrator tells us that the girl in the embroidery shop is very upset and wants to return to the country. The third student, who is a drunkard, is also upset, but he is also excited about the upcoming meeting with the students to discuss the assignment. The two students decide that they will meet in the library lobby at 4pm.
