The narrator is amazed at the behavior of the suryas. He thinks the weapons they use are "way too scary" and that the barrier is "too intimate" for him to watch. He wonders why they are always falling down, and wonders if he is the one who has been taken advantage of. He goes on to say that the medicine box is running out of supplies and that he is going to return it. He then wonders why the two men are still on the street. He wants to eat the first human he sees, but he is interrupted by the sound of a crack in the barrier. The narrator thanks the little girl for killing the mosquito with her slap. He is also going to look for his brother, who is lost.
