In this chapter, we learn that the young man's name is "judge" and that he is a member of the fan-community flower arrangement competition team. He is a talented individual, but he is also very shy and does not have the self-confidence to compete in the top 30 in the competition. The young man feels that he cannot hide his face when he leaves the house because he would be a disgrace compared with the judge. He tells us that he will come and fix things for the judge, sing, dance, cook, and so on. He says that the judge is a kind of person who has been raised in the underworld, where he performs tasks that increase the life of the good and send evil acts to the underworld. He has the ability to change the scroll of death and life, and he has recently extended the lives of a cat and a dog. He does not deserve to die, he says, because the cat was thrown off the truck by a group of naughty children, not because of his whims. Judge says that they are all "ss level," and that they were too young to understand that they had to consider the feelings of other people.
