In this chapter, we learn that the narrator is making a list of things he wants to do before he dies. He's making a bucket list of all the things he'd like to do in his lifetime. The narrator asks him what's on top of his list, and he answers that he's experienced falling in love, and being loved. He then asks the narrator why he didn't cross those two things off of his bucket list. He asks why she doesn't hug him, and the narrator says that she's impossible to love.
