In this chapter, we learn that the heroes have lost contact with the villains, and that the last stronghold of the city is now under the control of the unseen. The king gorilla is still alive, but he can barely see what's going on. He can hear the unseen talking to the gorillas, and he can tell that the gorillas are ripping off the heads of the humans. He's also able to see that the bananas are glorious. He asks what brodie did this time, and the gorilla says that it was not brodie, but an underground base. The underground base is right above the heroes camp, and it will take two men to pilot it. He wants to know what the unseen are up to, because he can't believe that the city could be even stronger than it is now. He says that he used to live in the city, but that it's "like daylight" to his boner. He doesn't understand why the heroes aren't able to fight more easily, because people are dying.
