The story opens with a description of a prince who is loved by the people of a beautiful kingdom. When the evil dragon attacks the kingdom, the prince goes missing. The evil dragon imprisons the prince for the rest of his days, and he can only hope that someone will come and rescue him. The royal family sends soldiers to try and save the prince, but they come back empty-handed. Finally, the royal family decides to send knights to rescue the prince. Many of the knights are caught alive, and no one knows where they are. The king of the kingdom tells the prince that there are many people outside who are dying because of him, and that he should go help them. The prince replies that he has no heart, and should put out the fire.
