Irina tells the prince that she's sorry that he's hesitating, but if he wants to do it, she'll do it. She tells him to grab the dagger and go home. Irina says that she actually wanted them to get married, but now that she can't, she doesn't have any other option. She begs the prince to hold the dagger in his heart and kiss her once, then take her home. The prince says that they'll meet again, and Irina promises to take him to earth. The dagger is gone, but not before Irina asks the reader if they've figured out what's going on.
