In this chapter, we find out that the girl in the picture is the same girl who was kidnapped by the monster in the previous chapter. She's named Anna, and she's about to turn nine years old. We learn from her grandma that the monster has taken her granddaughter away from her, too. When she wakes up, she realizes that it's the same thing that happened to her and her family years ago.
