In this chapter, we are introduced to Little Em'ly's grandmother, who tells the story of her granddaughter, Anna. Anna was playing with a friend one day when she refused to go home. Everyone searched for her and her family, but no trace was found. Anna's parents moved away, and they must have been really sad, since they did not know where their daughter had been until the day of her death.
