Chapter 12 opens with the launch of the first volume of Annelle's manga. The protagonist, Annelise, enters the shop with her mother, Mi Itani, who has come to congratulate her on her success in the art of drawing. She tells the protagonist that if he does not become a great artist, she will execute him and scold him for the rest of his life. Mi itani tells her that the protagonist is being read by everyone in Japan, and that she is next in line to become a famous manga artist.
