About This Chapter
The chapter opens with the creator of the "Balthazar" series, Tsuru Kamame, arriving at the publisher's office to deliver a letter to the editor of the book. The letter is addressed to the "chief sir" , the man who is responsible for the publication of the books, and asks for a copy of the final chapter. The man is surprised to learn that the author of the chapter is none other than the "editor in chief" of the series, and he asks the man if he can finish the chapter before he leaves. When the man tells him that he has been trying to finish it, but the publisher has refused to allow him to do so, the editor tells the man that he should not worry about the chapter, as he is "such a clumsy war-ror" . He tells the reader that he is thinking about a tour with his wife, who loves Balthazar, and that he wants his tombstone to read, "in love with balthazar." The man says that the dumplings that he eats from his home in the dragon valley are from his wife's home, and the secret of the dumplings is that they contain "dragon's blood." He says that they must keep the series going for at least a thousand volumes.
