Claaark is shocked to hear that the Duchess has been murdered. He wants to bring her back to the park, but he also wants to remind the boss that he is supposed to be out of town. The head of the park's security warns the Duchess not to act so surprised, as he is part of the plot to destroy the park. He also warns the duchess that she is a traitor because she has defrauded the park of money. The old pal tells him that he and another man, named Dogby, have been hired to work at the park the same day. He tells the old pal that the princess is dead, pushed off the steep slope of the Schilthorn mountain.
