Jane asks if she's waiting for her. She's been waiting for a while, and now she wants to know if she can ask her old assistant, May, to be her assistant again. May has resigned from her job, and she'd rather be with Jane than with the man who's trying to take her to a fancy hotel. Jane's not fooled, she tells her. He's just trying to introduce her to some of his friends, and they'll all have a nice meal together. Jane tells her that she overheard the man talking about how he's a "bad man" , and that she wants her assistant to stay away from him. Jane says that she'll always protect her, even if she has to break up with her old friend. She says that if she and the kid go to the hotel together, they're not going to be allowed to go. She doesn't want to be a part of that, either. She tells her friend that she watched the scene when she was in love with her, and says that the man is a "playboy" . He flirts with other women, but they refuse him.
