A girl named Jane is in her senior year of high school. She's bored with her studies and has no idea what to do with her life. Her dad interrupts her soliloquy to ask her what she plans to do now that she's graduated. Jane tells him that she doesn't know what she'll do now, but she does know that she has to work for her living. She wakes up in the middle of the night to find a ring on her finger. It's her godfriend, the guy who freaked out her when she was using antiseptic to clean her bloody head. Jane asks her dad why he's so mad, and he tells her that he'd been paying attention to other guys besides her. Jane's not mad, she says, because she paid attention to the other guy. She says that if she were to win a girl, she'd be jealous, but if she got the girl of her dreams, her dad would be jealous. Jane says that she really likes her dad, and that she wants to eat with him too, but her dad is jealous that she likes another girl. She tells her dad that if he likes her, he should be jealous of her if she wins a girl. He says that's a bad contract, and she says that her dad should be his girlfriend.
