It's been a long time since we last saw Malin, and now he's back on the road again. He's walking with his friend, senja, and they're all bummed out because they haven't seen their childhood friend, Guntur, in a while. They're worried that Guntur is going to miss his mother's funeral, so they decide to go visit his house. Malin asks if they can have a cup of coffee, and senja says they can, but they'll have to wait for Guntur to come home so they can find out what's going on with him. They go to his house, and Malin tells his friend that he doesn't have any food at home, so he can't eat at home. He tells Malin that his parents have told him that he should become a beggar, and that he has to find his own way to make ends meet.
