The young master asks the old fox to have a good night's sleep. The old fox says that he has reached the point of no longer caring about family relations because he no longer wants to be associated with the old man's family. He puts his own son in house arrest so that he can threaten his opponent. He says that the only person who can do this is the young master. The two men argue about whether or not they should give up on the young man. The young man says that they can't, but that he must save the boy. He tells the old master that he is sorry that he dragged everyone into this. He admits that he should have done it by himself. He promises to do it even if he has to go alone
