In this chapter, we are introduced to a number of new characters and introduced to some of the novel's most important characters. The first person introduced in this chapter is Mr. Baro, who is introduced as "Mr. President." This introduces us to Mr. President's mother, "Mrs. White." Mrs. White's response to her son's name is, "No, sir, I'm not your mother." The second person introduced is "Anonymous 1," who introduces himself as "Anonymous 2," and finally "Anonymous 3." The third person introduces itself as "anonymous 4." The fourth person introduces himself, "Anonymous 5." The chapter ends with "Anonymous 6." We learn that "Anonymous 7," "Anonymous 8," and "Anonymous 9" are also introduced.
