In this chapter, Hiro wishes that his love for Natsume would not interfere with his plans to become a general manager of the school. He wants to be a part of his company, so he invites Natsue to join him at the party after the school day ends. Nat's dad interrupts Hiro's soliloquy to ask him if he has seen his son. Hiro tells him that it was never his intention to make him sad, and that he would have loved to have married him. He says that he wants him to be happy, because he's nine years younger than him, and so he had to put in a lot of hard work to get to where he is today. He also says that if he hadn't had to work so hard, he wouldn't have been so happy with his life. He asks if he left school by choice, and he says he did. He adds that he just wants Nat to enjoy his life, like any other student would, and be happy. He doesn't want him to just go and make up his own mind about things like that. He's just trying to make sure that Nat is happy, and not to be like everyone else. He tells Nat that the school president will give a brief speech thanking all the students for their hard work today, and then he'll be the school's new general manager. After the speech, he asks if Nat is going to let him be with her again, and she says that she'll do it if they get married. She'll also be a member of the Mikami family, so they'll both be able to belong to the same society. Hiro says that they're going to have to get changed first, since they've never seen each other in a while
