About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which the narrator explains that he is now a student at the same university as the protagonist. The protagonist, who is the protagonist of the previous story, is now studying at the university of the protagonist's childhood home. He tells the protagonist that his parents have fallen out of love with each other, and that they have tried to keep him away from them. He asks the protagonist what is wrong, and the protagonist tells him that he has always been there to listen to his parents. He says that when his parents fell in love, they tried not to let him see it, but now that they are talking about him, they must have known something was up, and they may not have questioned him about it. They must have talked about it amongst themselves, because they did not question the protagonist about what happened in his old school. When the protagonist asks what he is doing with the boxes, the protagonist says that he will do anything, but that he cannot return the feelings he has for the protagonist, but if the protagonist wants him to go to the school nurse, he can do so.
