About This Chapter
The doctor tells gami that he sprained his ankle and advises him to stay away from it for a few days. He also tells him that it's okay if he doesn't want to see his ex-wife, who used to be his wife's ex-fiancee. Strangely enough, this is the first time he's met his new fiancee, who he hasn't seen in eight years. The doctor also tells Tamura that she's not so lucky, since she used to have an affair with her ex-husband. Tamura says that he could've sent an e-mail or called her, but he didn't have the nerve to do so. He's glad to hear that Tamura isn't as lucky as he is, since he'll be able to see her soon enough. He asks Tamura what she meant by "not hurt his feelings" , and she says that she was just trying to be careful because she is a nice girl. He says that if he were going to do something, he'd like to go ahead and fall over the course of the race, but if he starts to fall, Tamura will catch him. She says that's why they're doing it all boy-girl, because they want to win the race. He tells her that he wants to try to fall over, but Tamura catches him, so they'll have to keep it in mind. She tells him to say that she knows she is "a human right" . She'll help him find Tamura if he sees him, and then she'll fillet him if he tries to talk her out of it. She reminds him of his old school, which she says reminds her of her new school.
