It's the end of the school year, and Hiroyuki asks how he's doing. He's bummed that he can't go home for the holidays because he has to work in the government's office. He tells Hiroyuki that his lunch break is over, and he'll call him later. Hiroyuki tells him that he'd better get ready for the new year, because it's cold outside. He says that everyone in town goes to a nice restaurant to celebrate the new day. He also tells Hiro that he wishes he could walk in the snow a little more, because sometimes it'll make it a little easier. He thanks his friends for being so nice to him, and says that he hopes this year is going to be a good one. He adds that his friend's frien was way too wild last year, so he hopes it won't get too crazy this year. He then tells his friends that the building they're staying in is old, and that the only heater there is a giant lump of snow in the middle of the room. They're worried that Hiroyuki will get buried again, so they warn him to be careful.
