Back at Do East, we're introduced to a new client, Sannomiya, who's just arrived from work. We're told that she's important to Do East's management, so she'll be a client for the sake of her health. We also learn that she just received a thank you note from Do East for her services the previous day, and she'd love to practice again. We learn that Do East has a special room where you can lay face down and get a massage from both of its practitioners, Shu-Suda and Shu-Kun. We get the feeling that this is going to be one of the most intense sessions of the novel.
