The priest is amazed at the king's strength and valor. He tells the king that he can help him escape from the city. The king asks the priest to take him to the pond and tell the people to leave the city and seek refuge elsewhere at once. The priest agrees, and the two men meet again. This time, the king gives the priest a gift: an insect that crawls into the body of the host and eats at its flesh and bones.
