He asks if he can help, and the noise of the army makes him think that it's not the enemy, but the black eagle herself. He says that he will not stay and fight with the enemy now, but he will hunt him down later if he is lucky enough to make it out alive. He compares the marks on his face to those of siduo, and he realizes that he is disgustingly ugly.
