Back at the command post, Ludwig apologizes for the death of Darnay. He says that even if they revived Darnay, he would still have lost a great deal of blood. Ludwig says that he will return to his post, but first he wants to know what's going on over there. He asks where they're going, and then he asks where the fighting is going. He can't believe that the guys are still fighting, but then he realizes that it's too far for a detour. He tells them to stop worrying about Darnay and to take cover. He also tells them that he's not going to drag them all into this. He just wants them to sheath their swords and let him do what he wants with the guy who sent them.
