Dr. Manette tells the group that they're all fine, just scratches. She's not asking them to do anything, she's just trying to protect them from the witches. The witches are attacking people of other races, and they can't distinguish between them. They're already being branwashed, so they won't be able to distinguish between the two groups. Doctor Manette says he'll protect the group too.
