In this chapter's opening scene, we learn that the master of the sea, gugu, and his assistant, salted fish, have kidnapped Lingzi and her friend, wang. Lingzi asks gugu why he has kidnapped them, and gugu tells her that he has come to bring wang's classmate, lily wang, who is looking for her. When wang asks why she has come, li xue tells him that she captured the president, and that she plans to hand over the pearls to wang soon.
