He hopes that he will beat Renzhou and become the top swimmer in the city. He tells the rest of the team that they should stay with the crowd and not tell anyone about what has happened. He also tells them that Renzhou's goggles have been replaced with those of the seal club members. The two of them decide to go back to the audience and join the other competitors in the field.
