Back at the bar, we find ourselves in the middle of a conversation between a young man and a young woman. The young woman is trying to get the young man to stop flirting with her, but the girl is too distracted by the man to notice him. The man, however, does notice the young woman flirting with him, and the two begin to argue about who is the more attractive of the two. Eventually, the girl realizes that the man she's been flirting with is none other than the bar's patron, a man named Tomoyuki, who's just returned from a night out with his girlfriend. The two argue over who should be the man's "lover" , and then the girl asks the man if he'd like to be her "friend" . He doesn't want to be his "friend," but he does want to have a "friend." The young man says he's going to go home, but he can't bear to leave the girl behind. He tells her that he'll be back soon, and she agrees to go with him.
