About This Chapter
The party boy, Hiroto Kusakabe, is having a hard time getting over the fact that he's not being given any drugs. He's so upset that he can't believe that they've actually given him any drugs at all. He thinks that if they had, he'd have been thrown out of the club the very next day. Hiroto says that he was relaxing outside when he overhears them talking about how they're going to give him a "placebo effect" , which basically means they'll give him whatever he wants, even if it's just a little bit less than what he actually wants. He doesn't know what to make of this, but he'll tell you what: it was just the placebo effect. He says that if he hadn't been there, he wouldn't have been able to hear the conversation, and that he would have been lying there, too. He also says that when he got to the place where they were talking, he realized that he wasn't going to stab himself, so he agreed to go with them. The place where he would stab himself is the same place where Hiroto was lying when he heard the conversation. He starts to freak out, but then he realizes that he has no idea what's going on.
